Featuring The Dying Of by Factor Eight

experimental artist from the Canadian prairies.

Award-winning experimental visionary Factor Eight

unveils a daring story with Bipolar Disorder through the lens of his latest concept album, ‘II’. The Canadian prairie-born artist is making waves music placements on Disney+, Spotify editorials, and the trailer for the Oscar-Winning film “Women Talking”.

‘II’ sees Factor Eight morphing his symphonic sound into something rawer and more self-explorative than ever before, with works titled ‘A Voice’ created using only his voice as a sonic metaphor to speaking about his experience with mental illness. Creating cinematic atmospherics that defy traditional norms of sound design, he depicts a balance between serenity and disarray found amid his history with Bipolar, hoping that his platform and directive serve as fallback to those seeking solace.

“I hope this project will inspire a feeling of connection in those who struggle, and sense of compassion in those who struggle to relate.” -Andrew

Factor Eight is the 2023 Instrumental/Ambient, 2022 Electronic, and 2021 Experimental/Contemporary Artist of the Year at the Saskatchewan Music Awards, and 2021 Visual Media Composer of the Year at the WCMAs.

A portion of proceeds from streams of Factor Eight music are being donated to organizations supporting mental health.
